At the very beginning of our design and development process, there was one watch that seemed to be different from the rest. Not that it was weird like a back-rub from Grandma, but just that it was a little odd in a good way. Kinda like pineapple on a pizza. It sat there, fourth in line after the Don, the Rover, and the Powerslave. We liked it. So we called it The Small No.4 and we still do. The domed watch that gently bubbles up from your wrist, taking a minimum of extra space and delivering to you the time of day in sleek efficiency. The crystal is extra thick (over 3.3mm, to be exact) and it is made from scratch resistant hardened mineral crystal. Like other Nixon watches, the Super Rover is built on a platform of water and shock resistancy. It has a raised bezel so the crystal, already made with over 3.3mm thick scratch resistant hardened mineral, is further protected by a ridge of stainless steel. What makes the Super Rover special is the movement and the case construction. The Super Rover has a three sub-dial chronograph movement that measures hours, minutes, seconds and 1/10ths of a second. Just press the upper right button to start and stop, and the lower right button to reset. The case is constructed to a depth rating of 200 meters. ItÃs built with a special screw down crown that forms a mechanical steel-to-steel bond to lock out moisture. (please see instructions on proper use). We called it a Rover because it can go anywhere and take anything. The Chrono function makes it Super. A note on screw down crowns: The way you adjust the time on any watch with a screw down crown is by simply unscrewing the crown, then pull it out, then adjust the time, then push the crown in and screw it back down. Typically you have bigger issues running through your head and after you set the time you go about resolving these big issues. But your crown is still not screwed down. This opens up the innards of the watch to any contact with liquid.
